This week has finally seen Sydney emerge from our 100+ days of lockdown. It’s a bit like stepping out of a midday movie into the bright sunlight: everything feels a bit bleary and discombobulated, isn’t it?
I’m so excited to get back to doing what I love: creating beautiful memories and gorgeous storytelling images for you to treasure. Of course the current COVID situation means I’ve had to make some small adjustments to the way we work so we can all stay as safe as possible.
Today, I’ll share a little bit of information about how we’ll manage the COVID situation together so that our health and wellbeing comes first.
Your Inner Light Photography is a registered COVID-safe business. I’m fully vaccinated, with regular precautionary COVID tests. At this stage, I am only offering outdoor/location shoots and will look at stepping back into studio shoots down the track as the situation evolves. Luckily, we are blessed with (mostly) beautiful weather and daylight savings this time of year in Sydney, and I have some wonderful locations to share with you.
Leading up to our shoot, we’ll plan your shoot, including wardrobe, location and any ideas/moodboards/directions you want to incorporate. If there’s any health concern, illness or COVID symptoms, then we’ll look at rescheduling as soon as possible. It’s also important to let me know if you’ve been in a COVID exposure site or become a close contact of a COVID case.
Otherwise, it’s business as usual! We get to plan, dream, share ideas and co-create a beautiful session together.
On the morning of our shoot, I will confirm that myself, you and your family members (if attending) are all well. If any of us are displaying COVID symptoms or otherwise feeling unwell, I will happily reschedule our shoot until a later date. I am currently waiving any deposits so that we have that mutual flexibility to respond appropriately to the situation.
All being well, when we meet for our session, I’ll ask you to check in using my QR code. I’ll also check your temperature to make sure we’re all good to go. Throughout our time together I’ll be wearing my mask and gloves (so attractive, I know!), and sanitising my hands frequently. I’ll have sanitiser and single-use masks available for you, should you need them of forget your own. My equipment is sanitised before and after every session, and I only photograph one client per day, to avoid any cross-contamination.
Fortunately, the length of my camera lens means I can maintain social distancing as much as possible – and of course the mask is on for when this isn’t possible. I’ll minimise physical contact with you, and may ask for your help to make your own adjustments or move your little ones/family members – I so appreciate your understanding!
It’s a rollercoaster, and I so appreciate your patience, understanding and support. If you’ve been on my waitlist, please drop me a line now and I will book you in as soon as possible. And please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any questions or requests you’d like to ask.
I can’t wait to see you!
