Wealth House founder Kristen Jackson

Wealth House

In the competitive arena of Sydney real estate, it’s fair to say that looks (and size) matter.  When Broadway stage manager-turned-real-estate agent Kristen Jackson moved from the US to Australia, she became curious about the differences in properties that sold in record time, and those that languished on the market for months.  As she gained experience in Sydney real estate, she discovered a space where she could help homeowners and agents with pre-sale renovations designed to build wealth in their home and maximise their sale price.  Wealth House was born.

To support the launch of Kristen’s business and website, we started planning our beautiful branding shoot.  The creation of a shoot day begins long before the session itself.  Firstly, I want to connect with my client, to understand who they are, why the do the work they do, and how they serve their clients.  Discovering this passion is so important, because it helps me get a sense of their core values and unique energy, to feel what it is we need to create.  We’ll discuss the different facets of their business, how they want their clients to feel working with them, and how we can best tell these important parts of their story.

Our Branding Shoot

My intention is to provide you with a suite of exclusive, on-brand imagery at your fingertips.  I need to understand how you’re planning to use your images, because this informs the kinds of photos we’ll create.  For Kristen, we needed photos for her new website, social media and print marketing.  We chose a stunning Northern Beaches cottage as our shoot location, incorporating Kristen’s brand colours and aesthetic.  We planned both landscape (wide) and portrait (long, vertical) versions of headshots, work, lifestyle and product imagery that can be used across the desktop and mobile versions of her website plus social media.

Once we’ve got the technical details, and an understanding of my client’s passion, it’s time to let the thoughts, feelings and ideas percolate.  To allow the intuitive responses, ideas and spontaneity flow in.  I put together a shot list, mood board, and flexible plan for the day’s shooting.  And we always leave some room for spontaneous magic to happen!

It’s so much fun to see it all come together: the time spent connecting with each other, the practical planning, the flow and organic moments  on the day, and then of course, seeing the finished result!  It’s a joy to celebrate my client’s milestones with them.

Kristen shared a little about her experience of our branding shoot:

“I had a great experience with Emma and Your Inner Light Photography. I did a branding shoot with her for a new business I’m launching. Emma asked really thoughtful questions so we’d get lots of shots to use in a variety of places. She also gave great recommendations for shoot locations. On the day of, she made me feel so comfortable. Not awkward at all, like with some other photographers. Plus, the results are fantastic. I definitely recommend her!”
